Buyback Policy

Every LUSTRE CARAT piece comes with a lifetime buyback. This Buyback Policy explains how you can sell your jewellery back to us and how its value is calculated.

Lifetime Buyback

You can sell your LUSTRE CARAT jewellery back to us at any time, with no time limit.

The buyback value is paid as store credit, not as cash or a refund to your payment method.

Who Can Sell Back

Buyback is available to the original buyer of the jewellery, verified against the order.

The piece's SGL certificate is required. The certificate number must match the number engraved on the jewellery. We cannot accept a buyback without the certificate.

How the Buyback Value Is Calculated

• Gold is valued at the gold rate for its purity on the day of sale, on the gold weight measured at our inspection.

• Diamonds are valued at 80% of their value on the day of sale, based on the details in the SGL certificate.

• Making charges are not included in the buyback value.

• Taxes paid on the original purchase, including GST, are not included in the buyback value.

• Missing diamonds are not valued. Damage may reduce the value.

The day of sale is the day we confirm the final buyback value after inspecting your jewellery.

How It Works

1. Contact us with your order number and SGL certificate number.

2. We share an indicative buyback value for your piece.

3. If you would like to go ahead, we send you instructions for sending the jewellery to us. Please do not send it before you receive them.

4. We inspect the jewellery and its certificate, and confirm the final buyback value.

5. Once you accept, the value is added to your account as store credit.

If you do not accept the final value, we will return the jewellery to you. Shipping for the return is borne by the customer.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges for sending the jewellery to us are borne by the customer.

Store Credit

• Store credit never expires.

• It can be used on any LUSTRE CARAT jewellery.

• If your new purchase costs less than your credit, the remaining balance stays in your account.

• If your new purchase costs more, you pay the difference.

• Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.

This policy does not exclude or restrict any consumer rights, warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
